Toolkit

Tools are the easy part.

Knowing which one a problem actually calls for is the bit worth paying for. Here's what I keep sharp, and what I tend to use it on.

What I work with

01

Applications

Where the business logic lives and the data has to be right.

LaravelPHPMySQL & PostgresLivewireRedisQueues & scheduling
02

Sites & publishing

For teams who need to edit their own words without ringing me.

03

Interface

Built to hold up on a mid-range phone, not just a desk.

TypeScriptTailwindThree.js & WebGLAccessibilityPerformance budgets
04

Getting it live

The unglamorous half that decides whether it lasts.

The honest bit

Most of this is interchangeable.

What isn't interchangeable is the judgement about which parts of a system deserve care and which parts just need to work. That's the bit I've spent twenty years on.
